About Me

Hi, I’m Diya. I’m an artist and the creator of Altar.

For most of my life, I explored creativity through many different forms, searching for the common thread that tied them together. It wasn’t until I healed my inner child artist that I realized art had been at the center of it all.

It was easy to create art, but difficult to call myself an artist.

When I reclaimed that part of my identity, it felt less like becoming someone new and more like returning to myself.

I have always been drawn to beauty, creativity, connection, and meaningful experiences. To me, beauty is more than something that looks pretty. It is a language for expression, a way of connecting with myself, others, and the Divine, and a way of giving form to the formless.

I believe art is essential to our wellbeing. While many people see art as a luxury or something nonessential, I see it as nourishment for the spirit and a vital expression of our humanity. Art has existed throughout human history because it helps us make meaning, connect, and imagine new possibilities.

I created Altar because I wanted a space where beauty and depth could exist together, a place where beauty meets the Divine, and where everyday objects and experiences become invitations into presence, connection, and wonder.

My hope is that my work uplifts, inspires, and nourishes. Whether through art, ceremony, or meaningful experiences, I want you to feel seen, heard, and deeply connected to yourself, to others, and to Source.

Most of all, I want you to know that you matter.

Thank you for being here, I would love to stay connected. Feel free to sign up for my email newsletter or send me a message on the contact page.
